End of year update 2021
I started off strong this year in January writing Jonah of Olympic. I’ve been working on it all year, and I’m nearing closer and closer to a conclusion of the first draft which is exciting. I had originally planned to wrap up the first draft by summer, do a quick draft 2, and ship it off to the beta readers. But I didn’t take into account a few things: seasonal depression, getting stuck, and that this book is significantly longer than the first. So it has naturally taken more time, and that’s ok.
Well, except that I can’t wait to get it into everyone’s hands. Ya’ll must read!
I also quit a job this year I had been at for 4 years. Worked another one for a space, and then decided it was time to go back to school and get that degree finished. That’s right! I’m going back to school. Well, it feels like I already have, because I did some online courses through LinkedIn for a few months to sort out my path and get back into the swing of being a student.
But starting January 3, 2022, I’ll be starting classes at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). I’ll be getting my BA in English Language and Literature.
I guess that’s all to say that it’s been a very eventful year, and will continue to be eventful in the year to come. We all have to make hard choices and I’ve made a few this year. But sometimes the hardest choices are the best choices in the end.
Here’s to 2022 and making hard choices!
Let. Love. Rule.
