New contribution to Totally Novel on writing, update on Sweet Sixteen Killer

Image
I've been pretty quiet lately on the blog, sorry about that. I've been laying mostly low, though I did recently begin contributing to a new website for writers and readers called Totally Novel. My first contribution for members of the site is a post I titled 3 things that prevented me from writing a novel. To read the post, sign up for a free trial. Take a look around and if you don't wanna stay, don't renew membership. That said, it's a pretty cool effort being put together by a former Google+ member like myself. As a matter of fact there are several members on the site from the old Google+ days. (Side note: there is a free membership option)
I will be contributing to the Totally Novel blog bi-monthly for now. My next addition will be in August. I'm super excited for the site and I hope you can come join us and become a part of the groups, forums, blog, workshops, and more.
All that said, I haven't given up here. This is still my primary site and blog. ๐Ÿ‘Š

New features in Google Drive

Several cool features available in Google Drive. Most notably ability to make Assignments to collaborators (similar to Dropbox Paper) and native support of attaching files with Google Forms.

Follow the link for all updates and extra info.

What are you most excited about? I'm probably most excited for file attachments in Forms. I've wanted that for years. Educators will rejoice for that as well.

Who is doing #nanowrimo this year?

Watching Vine videos in #RIPVine on Twitter this morning has made me grateful it didn't exist when I was a teenager....

The trouble with Trickle Down Economics is that it assumes humans aren't greedy. And we know better.

Example: I just stole candy from a kid.

GUN, a collaborative novel

I'm gonna explode for a bit. In 2012, I started work on a second collaborative novel with fellow writers. We had big ambitions second time around, one of which was to shop the book to publishers instead of self-publishing.

I'm happy to say that next week our efforts will come to light. Our book will be published in both ebook and paperback through crime publishers Fahrenheit Press.

We're excited, all ten of us authors, and I'm super proud of the work we've accomplished together.

Drive it Like a Race Car

I picked a good night to go back to open mic night. Jessica Lynne popped into my usual spot, on her way back to Seattle from Nashville (or something like that, maybe reverse). Got to hear this one and another ditty, and boy she tore it up with her fiddle-playing partner.

Enjoy!
